The Accounting Techniques Department at the Technical Institute of Najaf was established in 1978, becoming one of the most prestigious and specialized departments in the field of accounting sciences. This is aimed at ensuring the graduation of qualified scientific cadres capable of contributing to the development of the Iraqi national economy.

Preparing the outputs of the educational process (graduates) at a high level of scientific competence in the field of accounting includes mastering accounting analysis, recording transactions, classifying business activities, categorizing transactions, and mastering the accounting cycle and journal entries, all based on scientific principles.
