The Department of Electronics and Communications Technologies at the Technical Institute / Najaf has been merged between the Department of Electronics Technologies and the Department of Communications Technologies since 2018. It is now a single department with three branches: Computer Technologies, Communications Technologies, and Electronics Technologies. The department aims to prepare technical cadres capable of working in various telecommunications and information sectors, to meet the community's needs for work in computing, which has become a part of all areas of life to provide services to Najaf Governorate in particular, and to our beloved country, Iraq, in general. The department continues to expand its activities in scientific research, education, and scientific services. Additionally, the diploma certificate awarded by the department is obtained through a two-year academic, theoretical, practical, and applied study program.

It provides knowledge in electronic technologies and the skills required for operating and maintaining electronic devices, as well as the knowledge necessary to handle computer technologies in its various fields.
