The Student Activities Division is under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs.
Mission
The division focuses on nurturing athletic, artistic, and cultural talents, which are crucial aspects of student life at university. These activities play a significant role in discovering and developing student talents in various fields. It is well-established that nurturing student talents has contributed to discovering many outstanding athletes, artists, poets, and readers. Moreover, engaging students in meaningful activities during their free time at this stage helps in personal development, broadens their horizons, and enhances their general cultural knowledge.
Objectives
Implement the annual ministry curriculum for “Student Activities” as outlined and approved by the Ministry at the beginning of each academic year.

Carry out various internal student activities (sports, arts, cultural) that are planned and approved by the Student Activities Division at the institute. Some of these activities have become recurring annual events.
Host some student activity championships (sports, arts, cultural) organized by the University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Student Activities Division.
Discover student talents in different fields (sports, arts, cultural).
Oversee and monitor student activities during their free time this academic year and submit reports to the Dean’s office.
Support and encourage these talents by providing resources to develop and enhance them, ensuring that these talents are qualified to participate in festivals and championships organized by the University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Student Activities Division, as well as national ministerial festivals and championships.
Organize awareness and cultural seminars for the students of the institute.
Supervise the formation of sports teams, artistic teams, and cultural teams.
Prepare the sports hall at the institute, supervise its operations, and provide all necessary materials for students to engage in various sports activities.
Prepare the “Art Studio Unit” at the institute, supervise its operations, and provide all necessary materials for students to engage in their artistic hobbies and activities.
Actively contribute to the success of the educational journey at the institute by creating a suitable campus life for students, in service of the student experience in our beloved Iraq.
