The Department of Tourism was established in the academic year 2012-2013 with two branches: Tourist Guidance and Hotel Management. The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical courses for both branches, equipping students with the necessary skills in hotel and restaurant management, guest and customer relations, and the preparation of tourism programs. The theoretical and practical studies cover topics such as tourism marketing systems, electronic booking (Amadeus system), as well as hands-on skills in hotels and restaurants.
Excellence in qualifying the best specialized cadres in the field of tourism technologies and hotel management, and attracting the highest academic, research, and technical competencies capable of creativity and development in research, education, training, and tourism and hotel consulting.
The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at Al-Najaf Technical Institute provides distinguished educational, training, and research services for students in the fields of tourism, hotel management, and tourist guidance. It aims to practically prepare them to compete in the tourism labor market and achieve leadership in education, research, and training. The department also contributes effectively to building scientific, knowledge-based, and ethical competencies, developing the environment, serving the community, and fulfilling the university's mission.
