In Pursuit of Sustainability.. The Technical Institute Holds a Seminar on Clean Energy

The Technical Institute of Najaf at Al-Furat Al-Awsat University held a training course in the Continuing Education Unit of the Department of Tourism Techniques titled (Clean Energy: A Safer and Less Polluted Future), presented by (M.M. Fatima Adel Khalifa).

The course included an introduction explaining that humans are always searching for new sources to meet their increasing needs in the advanced applications of modern life, especially in light of the depletion of traditional energy sources, their high exploitation costs, and the negative impact of their use on the ecosystem.

Numerous attempts have emerged to utilize solar radiation and wind, which are characterized as renewable and inexhaustible energy sources. Additionally, the importance of these sources is highlighted in mitigating the risks associated with reliance on traditional sources (oil and natural gas).

The course also covered the concept of clean energy, the reasons behind its naming, the importance of clean energy, and the different types of clean energy, which are divided into: (renewable energy and non-renewable energy). Furthermore, it addressed how to obtain clean energy and the procedures for its utilization.
